Vivah Muhurat November 2026: 4 Shubh Wedding Dates & Timings

November 2026 is the month the country stops waiting. Four months of Chaturmas end, the shehnai comes out, and every hall in Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow is spoken for inside a week. But the vivah muhurat november 2026 list is genuinely short — four candidate dates, all of them crammed into the last ten days of the month, and the panchangs do not fully agree on one of them. This page prints every date with its tithi, nakshatra and Delhi muhurat window, says plainly which sources back it, and shows you what to settle before the pandit fixes your lagna.

When the November 2026 wedding season actually opens

Nothing auspicious is begun during Chaturmas, the four-month stretch when Vishnu is held to be in yoga nidra. It ends with Dev Uthani (Prabodhini) Ekadashi. In 2026 that tithi is awkward: DrikPanchang’s Delhi panchang has Ekadashi beginning at 07:15 AM on Friday 20 November and ending at 06:31 AM on Saturday 21 November — so it does not touch sunrise on either day.

The practical result is that DrikPanchang marks 20 November as the last Chaturmas day and the Smarta Devutthana Ekadashi, and 21 November as Gauna Devutthana Ekadashi plus Tulsi Vivah. Weddings resume from 21 November either way. That is why every list — permissive or strict — starts the season on the same Saturday.

Read that carefully before you book, because it is the single most misquoted fact of the season. Chaturmas ending does not make the rest of November auspicious. Only four days in the whole month clear panchang shuddhi, and two of them come with caveats worth understanding.

Vivah muhurat november 2026: the full date table

All timings below are IST for Delhi, taken from DrikPanchang’s Vivah Muhurat page with the location set to Delhi, and cross-checked against VedicFeed, VedicMatch and the classical-rule list published by Dr R.P. Sharma. Tithi and nakshatra are as they stand across the muhurat window, not just at sunrise — that distinction matters on 21 and 24 November.

That is the whole month. Nothing before 21 November, because of Chaturmas. Nothing from 27 to 30 November, because no marriage nakshatra is available or the yoga is corrupted. If you want the wider view across both years, our auspicious marriage dates 2026-2027 guide carries the full run through to next summer.

21 November: the date every family will fight over

This is the season opener, and it is a strong one. The window runs from sunrise at 06:48 AM right through to 12:08 AM the next morning — over seventeen hours of usable muhurat, which is unusually generous. Revati, ruled by Pushan, is one of the eleven classical marriage nakshatras and carries the sense of safe arrival and nourishment.

Two honest caveats. First, at the exact moment of sunrise the nakshatra is still Uttara Bhadrapada; Revati begins at 06:50 AM, two minutes later, and then holds until 05:54 AM on 22 November. That two-minute gap is why one source labels the day Uttara Bhadrapada and three label it Revati. Both are describing the same sky.

Second, 21 November is also Tulsi Vivah, the ceremonial marriage of the tulsi plant to Shaligram, treated in most households as the first wedding of the season. Some families deliberately hold their own ceremony on the same day for that reason. Others avoid it because temples and pandits are already committed. Decide early — this is the date that goes first.

If you are still at the matching stage, do not wait for the pandit’s appointment to find out whether the pair even scores. The 36 Guna calculation runs offline in seconds on Sahita on Google Play, and you can walk into the meeting with the koota-by-koota breakdown already printed.

The 24 November question: a Tuesday, a Purnima, a midnight window

This is where the sources part company, and it is worth understanding rather than just picking a side. DrikPanchang, VedicFeed and VedicMatch all publish 24 November as an available muhurat. Dr R.P. Sharma’s classical-rule list leaves it out entirely, and states the reason openly: Tuesdays are excluded, as many families prefer.

There is a second reason to look twice. 24 November is Kartika Purnima — Dev Diwali, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Karthigai Deepam. The Purnima tithi runs until 08:23 PM, and most classical filters exclude Purnima along with Amavasya and the rikta tithis. Krittika nakshatra holds until 11:25 PM, and Krittika is not a marriage nakshatra.

Put those together and the muhurat window makes sense: it opens at 11:25 PM, the instant Rohini begins, and runs to 06:52 AM. So the date is real, but the usable slot is the middle of the night after a major festival day. For most families the answer is to take 25 November instead and keep 24 November for the sangeet.

25 and 26 November: the two easiest dates in the month

25 November, a Wednesday, is the most flexible date of the season. DrikPanchang shows the muhurat running sunrise to sunrise — 06:52 AM on the 25th to 06:52 AM on the 26th, a full twenty-four hours. Rohini gives way to Mrigashira during the day, and both are classical marriage nakshatras, so the lagna can be placed almost anywhere the venue allows.

26 November, a Thursday, runs 06:52 AM to 05:47 PM under Mrigashira on Dwitiya moving into Tritiya. Thursday is Guru’s day and is traditionally favoured for marriage, so the date is popular despite the shorter eleven-hour window. If you want an evening pheras, note that the muhurat closes before sunset — this is a daytime date.

Both dates appear in every source we checked, with identical closing moments. That unanimity is the real signal here. Where four independently computed panchangs land on the same minute, the underlying astronomy is not in dispute — only the editorial filters are. Our wedding muhurta 2026 guide for matched couples explains how to sequence the matching and the muhurat so neither waits on the other.

Where the sources disagree, and how we resolved it

Three real disagreements showed up while building the table above. We are naming them rather than smoothing them over, because you will meet the same contradictions if you search yourself.

The first is 24 November, covered above: three sources include it, one excludes it on the Tuesday convention. The second is the tithi on 21 November. Dr R.P. Sharma labels it Shukla Ekadashi; DrikPanchang, VedicFeed and VedicMatch all say Dwadashi. DrikPanchang settles it — Ekadashi ended at 06:31 AM, seventeen minutes before Delhi’s sunrise, so the day begins on Dwadashi.

The third is the nakshatra on that same day: Uttara Bhadrapada in one list, Revati in three. As explained above, the changeover is at 06:50 AM, so both are technically defensible and the practical answer is Revati. We treated DrikPanchang as the tiebreaker throughout, since it is the panchang most Indian pandits cross-check against.

One more thing worth flagging honestly: on 21 November the Delhi panchang also shows Panchaka running all day and Ganda Moola from 06:50 AM. Some regional traditions treat these as cautions for specific rites. DrikPanchang still publishes the day as a full marriage muhurat, and so do we — but ask your family pandit if your tradition is strict about Ganda Moola.

The fourth kind of disagreement is not about dates at all, but about clocks. Compare two sites and you will see 06:48 AM on one and 06:59 AM on another for the same 21 November window. Neither is wrong. The closing moments — 12:08 AM, 11:25 PM, 05:47 PM — are astronomical events and match everywhere. The opening moments are often just local sunrise, and sunrise moves with longitude.

Delhi sunrise on 21 November 2026 is 06:48 AM; on 25 and 26 November it is 06:52 AM. Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai all differ, some by more than half an hour. So if a table starts a window at sunrise and does not name a city, treat the start time as approximate and get your own city’s figure before printing cards.

This is also why regional panchangs are worth consulting alongside the national ones. South Indian families weighing the day against the ten-porutham system will find our Tamil muhurtham astrology guide more directly useful, and Kannada families can check the same dates for Chandra Bala in our vivaha muhurta and Chandra Bala guide.

Finish guna milan before the pandit fixes the lagna

A date from the table above is a panchang-level clearance. It says the day is fit for weddings in general. It says nothing about your specific pair. The lagna — the rising sign at the moment of the pheras — is chosen afterwards, for your venue’s coordinates and against both charts, and a pandit will not do that work until the match itself is settled.

So the order is: match first, date second, lagna third. Run the free kundali matching tool for the 36 Guna Ashta Koota score and the Manglik check on both charts, take that printout to the pandit, and let him spend his time on Tarabala, Chandrabala and the hour rather than on arithmetic you already have.

Families who are still deciding between dates usually want three things on paper: the total out of 36, which kootas scored zero, and whether either dosha has a cancellation that applies. All three appear on the result screen in the free Sahita app, in eleven languages, with no login and no upload.

Booking reality: four dates, one country

Four usable dates in a month, two of them back to back, in the first week the country is allowed to marry again. Venues, caterers, photographers and pandits in the metros are typically committed three to four months out for exactly this reason, and 21 and 25 November go first.

A practical sequence that works: shortlist two dates rather than one, hold the venue on the second while you confirm the first, and keep 24 November as a genuine fallback if a late-night muhurat is acceptable to both families. December opens up again from the 2nd, so a spillover into early December is not a defeat.

Whichever way the vivah muhurat november 2026 shortlist falls, the matching has to be done first, and it does not need an appointment. Sahita’s free kundali matching app runs the full Ashta Koota offline, so two families in two cities can compare the same numbers over a phone call the same evening.

If your planning horizon is longer than this season, the picture changes completely. Our auspicious wedding dates 2026 page covers the year that is closing, and auspicious wedding dates 2027 covers the far larger set of windows in April, May and June next year.

Your vivah muhurat november 2026 checklist

  1. Confirm the 36 Guna score and Manglik status for both charts — the free Sahita kundali matching app does this offline.
  2. Pick a primary and a backup date from the table, not one date.
  3. Get your own city’s sunrise; the window start shifts with it.
  4. Check whether your tradition excludes Tuesdays before considering 24 November.
  5. Ask the pandit for the lagna window, not just the date.
  6. Hold the venue before you print cards, not after.

Frequently asked questions

How many vivah muhurat dates are there in November 2026?

Four: 21, 24, 25 and 26 November 2026. DrikPanchang, VedicFeed and VedicMatch all publish these four for Delhi. The classical-rule list from Dr R.P. Sharma gives three, dropping 24 November because it falls on a Tuesday. Every list agrees the season cannot open before 21 November, because Chaturmas runs until then.

What is the first wedding date after Chaturmas in 2026?

Saturday 21 November 2026. The muhurat runs from 06:48 AM to 12:08 AM on 22 November for Delhi, under Revati nakshatra on Dwadashi tithi. It is also Tulsi Vivah, traditionally the first marriage of the season, which makes it the single most contested date on the calendar for venues and pandits.

Can we marry on 24 November 2026?

Three of the four sources we checked say yes, with a window from 11:25 PM to 06:52 AM the next morning. It is a Tuesday and also Kartika Purnima, so families following the stricter classical filter skip it. If a late-night pheras suits both sides, the date is usable; otherwise take 25 November.

Which November 2026 date has the longest muhurat window?

25 November. DrikPanchang shows the muhurat running from sunrise on the 25th to sunrise on the 26th — a full day, 06:52 AM to 06:52 AM for Delhi. 21 November is next at just over seventeen hours. 26 November gives about eleven daytime hours, and 24 November roughly seven overnight hours.

Are these vivah muhurat november 2026 timings valid for my city?

The dates are, and so are the closing times, because those are astronomical moments. The opening times are often local sunrise, which shifts with longitude — Delhi’s 06:48 AM on 21 November is not Mumbai’s or Chennai’s. Get your own city’s panchang for the exact start, and ask the pandit to fix the lagna for your venue.

Should we finish kundali matching before booking a date?

Yes. A pandit will not fix the lagna until the match is settled, and with only four dates in November the venue will not wait. Run the 36 Guna check first, resolve any Nadi, Bhakoot or Manglik question, then approach the date. The free calculator gives you all of it in one screen.
