What is Ashta Koota matching?

Ashta Koota is the classical Vedic system that scores marriage compatibility across eight kootas, totalling 36 gunas. Sahita calculates all eight automatically from both birth charts.

How many gunas are needed for a good match?

Traditionally, 18 of 36 is the minimum recommended for marriage. 24+ is considered good, 28+ excellent. Shastra-based cancellations matter — Sahita explains them clearly.

What is Nadi Dosha?

Nadi dosha forms when the bride and groom share the same Nadi (Aadi, Madhya, or Antya). It carries the highest weight (8 points), but six classical exceptions can cancel it. The app flags both the dosha and the applicable cancellations.

Does Sahita work for South Indian matching (10-Porutham)?

Yes. The app supports both the 8-koota North Indian system and the 10-Porutham South Indian system, with regional language UIs for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Is my data sent to a server?
