Dasa-sandhi is the junction between two vimshottari dasha periods — the weeks when one planetary period ends and the next begins. Odisha families traditionally avoid fixing a wedding inside that window for either partner. It has nothing to do with compatibility and everything to do with timing, which is why it belongs to the muhurta discussion rather than the melaka score.
Rashi melaka is the shortcut version.
